All Stars on early hat-trick

After winning both of their opening National First Division (NFD) matches, Cape Town All Stars coach David Kannemeyer has stressed the importance of maintaining the momentum.

The Cape Town-based team next face Witbank Spurs away at Puma Rugby Stadium in Witbank on Sunday.

"It is very important to continue winning because we want to be among the best teams this season," Kannemeyer told Sowetan yesterday.

"I always say that if you start well, you have a good chance of finishing on a high note as well. I have told my players to forget about our previous games but [that they] must focus on upcoming matches.

"Spurs are also unbeaten so far. I managed to study them well and I am positive that what we got on them will help us. It is still early in the season and teams are careful. That might mean they will change the way they played their opening games when we meet them on Sunday."
