Tshifhiwa "Atomic Spider" Munyai's preparations for his eagerly awaited return to action in the local ring suffered a setback when thieves smashed the windows of his car at Park Station on Monday morning and stole all his belongings, including his gym clothes.

Munyai, who is from Makwarela in Limpopo, said he had accompanied his sister to board a bus to Liebenberg in Mpumalanga.

"On my return I discovered that all the windows were broken and all my belongings - laptop, PlayStation and my gym clothes - were gone. I was dumbfounded," said the boxer who will welcome Namibian Samuel Kapapu at Wembley Arena, Johannesburg on April 28.

"I think I am lucky that all this happened while I was not there. I would not have fought them but based on what they did to the car, you can tell whoever did it was prepared for anything."

Munyai - who had been campaigning in the UK since 2013 - last fought in South Africa in September 2013.
