Orlando Pirates place striker Lehlohonolo Majoro on the transfer list

Orlando Pirates continued to clean house on Wednesday and placed pouting striker Lehlohonolo Majoro and several other big names on the transfer list.

The other names on the list are Sifiso Myeni‚ Roger Majafa‚ Letsie Koapeng‚ Felipe Ovono and Yassar Mugerwa.

Majoro’s future at Pirates has been uncertain since the 29-year-old former Kaizer Chiefs player took to social media site Twitter in May and tweeted‚ ‘‘Tired of being a spectator”.

He had been in and out of former Bucs coach Eric Tinkler’s squad and took his dissatisfaction to the public platform.

This act of rebellion did not go down very well with Pirates management and it was only a matter of time before he was shown the door.

But there should be no shortage of potential suitors for the striker as on his day‚ he is capable of putting on a show on the pitch.

Myeni should also have no shortage of offers as when he’s injury free‚ he is one of South African football’s brightest talents.

Pirates have continued to tweak their squad since coach Muhsin Ertugral’s arrival last month and club chairman Irvin Khoza is due to meet more players on Friday to discuss their futures.

The club also confirmed that it has received an offer for Ovono from Saudi Arabia.

He will travel to the oil rich country to undergo an assessment.
