A compromise regarding where in-form midfielder Keagan Dolly will be playing over the next few weeks has been reached to ensure both the national team and his club Mamelodi Sundowns are happy.

Dolly has withdrawn from Bafana Bafana's young Cosafa Cup squad, who are using the competition to prepare for the Olympics, and will play for Sundowns in their opening CAF Champions League group stage match against Algerian club ES Setif on June 18.

In between these Champions League matches, Dolly will be allowed to join the national team camps, but is unlikely to be available when the under-23s play Japan in a friendly in Nagano on June 29.

The Absa Premiership champions have a clash against Nigerian giants Enyimba that weekend.

"I spoke to coach Owen (da Gama) and to coach Pitso (Mosimane) and we managed to find a solution," Dolly said.

"There're a few camps where I will be joining the under-23s and then there are other times I will be with my team in the Champions League."

Da Gama, the under-23 coach who will be assisting Shakes Mashaba at the Cosafa Cup, is happy with the arrangement and believes Dolly does not have to be part of every match or camp.

"For now Keagan will not be part of Cosafa. It's a compromise. We've got to allow Sundowns to go to the highest possible level," Da Gama said.

"As much as Brazil respect Neymar, we respect Dolly. Neymar is not part of the friendly matches, so we understand that it's important to reach a compromise. Keagan wants to be part of the team, but he will come whenever he can."

Bafana's Cosafa Cup players went into camp yesterday, but Ajax Cape Town defender Rivaldo Coetzee will only join on Sunday.

Highlands Park's Mothobi Mvalo will not be part of the team because he is playing in the promotion playoffs.
