The new owners of Mpumalanga Black Aces will sit down with coach Muhsin Ertugral on Thursday to see if they agree on a way forward for the newly-relocated Cape Town-based side.

Former Ajax Cape Town director John Comitis is leading a consortium that has purchased Black Aces from the Morfou family and would like Ertugral to continue to lead from the dugout next season.

Ertugral had three successful spells in charge of Ajax when Comitis was a shareholder in that club and is known to enjoy working with younger players‚ which is thought to be central to the ethos of the new team.

But although Ertugral says his personal terms are not an issue‚ he wants to know more about the make-up of the club before he commits to them.

“We have not even met yet‚ I have only just come back from Turkey‚” Ertugral told Times Media. “We have talked a bit on the phone but there is a lot that we still need to discuss.

“I have to meet the chairman and the management and understand what platforms have been provided for the new club. I need to understand what will be the make-up of my technical team‚ which is very important to me.

“I need to know where we are on transfers‚ on player movements and who will be coming down to Cape Town. We are talking about human beings here and not pieces of furniture. The players must be happy to relocate.

“I have worked on three continents and I know that before any contract is signed‚ there is a lot that needs to be talked about. But in terms of my personal details‚ there is no problem at all‚ I am very happy.”

Ertugral‚ who has retained a house in Cape Town for a number of years‚ reveals the parties were to have met today (TUESDAY) but it was pushed out to Thursday due to his unavailability.

“John is excited about the club but there is also going to be immense pressure on the team‚ especially having relocated‚ and the new fans and the media are going to expect results straight away‚ especially with how Black Aces finished last season.

“That is why we need to clarify all these issues and see what platforms are there.”

Ertugral led Black Aces to fourth in the PSL last season‚ missing out on third position and a place in the African Confederation Cup on goal-difference only.

Comitis has already been quoted as saying leading scorer Collins Mbesuma would not be making the move to Cape Town.
