'Mosimane saw it coming'

Khama Billiat says he has no reason to doubt his coach Pitso Mosimane.

Mosimane had predicted that the Sundowns midfielder would be PSL's Footballer of the Season someday but the player thought his coach was just motivating him to raise his game.

But after he was nominated for three PSL awards yesterday, the Zimbabwean international is singing Pitso's praises.

''He told me this on my first day at Sundowns [in 2013] and coaches like that are special," Billiat said.

''I just want to thank him for bringing me to Sundowns. I'm not sure if I will be the same player today if I wasn't listening to him."

Billiat has been nominated for the Absa Premiership Midfielder, Players' Player and Footballer of the Season awards alongside teammates Keegan Dolly and Hlompho Kekana. Billiat said hard work paid off and he was not surprised that Sundowns dominated the nominee list announced yesterday.
