Kaizer Chiefs have most draws in the Absa Premiership, and the team's skipper Siphiwe Tshabalala, pictured, has admitted that they are inconsistent.

On their way to winning the league last season, Amakhosi drew just six games and, in comparison to this season, Chiefs - fourth in the standings - have already drawn half of their 16 league games.

Amakhosi have five more draws than log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns, and this has seen them slip 10 points behind the Brazilians.

But Shabba has backed the team to fight back saying they have the right type of players and technical team to guide them who can handle the pressure from their fans.

"We have a quality coach [Steve Komphela] and players, so the only thing missing is consistency," he said.

"There is pressure in a big team and sometimes pressure is good. It takes you out of your comfort zone and it makes you work even harder - the same as criticism. One must thrive under criticism and for the past six months, I would say we did well by reaching two cup finals and all in all, we have lost four games, including those two cup finals.

"And we can improve from that. Good is not enough for us, because we've set great standards and we need to live up to that. We need to show by winning games and I think the only challenge we've been having this season is consistency."

Chiefs travel to KwaZulu-Natal tonight where they play seventh-placed Golden Arrows at Moses Mabhida Stadium (7.30pm).
