"We should have killed it in first half": Komphela

Kaizer Chiefs coach Steve Komphela cry foul over missed opportunities wasted by his side on a 1-1 draw against Polokwane City at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Tuesday evening.

Amakhosi defender Erick Mathoho scored the opening goal in the first half, before City striker Puleng Tlolwane managed to equalise in the second half.

"We gave them a bit of space. City’s goal came as a result of giving them space in front of the D-line," Komphela told Chiefs website.

"I thought we should have killed it in the first half. In the second half we dropped. We also conceded too many fouls around our own box. We should have won."

"City’s style of play is one of the more enterprising sides in the league. They don't have respect for defensive principles," he said.
