Mauritius are up against it on Sunday if Shakes Mashaba's remarks yesterday are anything to go by.

The Bafana Bafana coach has repeatedly stressed that his national team players were better on the road. And it will be no different, Mashaba said, this weekend in their African Nations Championship (Chan) away second-leg qualifier at the Stade Anjalay.

Kick-off is at 1pm.

Bafana hold a 3-0 advantage from the first round. "We've never been under pressure playing away from home.

"It is at home where our boys face a tremendous amount of pressure, so we were happy to score three goals because we had not done so for quite sometime," Mashaba said.

"You would have seen our exercises during our training and it indicates that we are working on finishing from all angles, including defence and midfield.

"We hope to arrive in Mauritius and score one or two goals. But what is most important is to consolidate the lead we have from the first leg."

The coach has also been able to solve his leftback conundrum from earlier in the week by roping in Mpumalanga Black Aces defender Lehlohonolo Nonyane yesterday. However, Mashaba, who took his time before calling up replacements for the injured Thabo Matlaba and Marc van Heerden, was cautious when asked if Nonyane would be an automatic choice against Mauritius.

"If you look at the level of fitness from most of these players, it was not suspect at all because they kept to their training programmes from their clubs. The left-back [Nonyane] who joined us today [yesterday] is not at the same level, but we will continue to look at him and get suggestions from the physical trainer," Mashaba explained.

Nonyane managed 23 Absa Premiership appearances for AmaZayoni last season - scoring twice, and now returns to the Bafana fold after two years in the cold.

He was first called up by former coach Gordon Igesund - again as a late replacement - ahead of the national team's trip to Zambia for the 2013 Cosafa Cup.
