Jali in action as KV Oostende run riot

There has been little rest for Bafana Bafana and KV Oostende midfielder Andile Jali‚ who was involved in an 8-0 friendly rout of lower league side Ol Ingelmunster.

Jali played for Bafana in their 0-0 draw with Gambia earlier this month and‚ after a short break‚ has been back in pre- season training with Oostende.

He played the second half of the match against Ingelmunster as his side ran riot. Former Kaizer Chiefs striker Knowledge Musona was also on the scoresheet.

Also in friendly action was another Bafana midfielder‚ Lebogang Phiri‚ who played for Danish side Brondby as they won 1-0 over Swedish top-flight side Falkenbergs.

The match was preparation for Brondby’s opening match of their Uefa Europa League campaign when they tackle San Marino side AC Juvenes-Dogana in the first leg of their qualifier on Thursday.

The San Marino side have lost all six of their previous Europa League games without scoring a goal and should provide no real opposition to Phiri and company.

Daylon Claasen‚ who was a late arrival in the 1860 Munich pre-season camp due to personal reasons‚ featured for the side as they won 2-1 at Regensburg.

The German Bundesliga II side will be hoping for a much brighter campaign in 2015-16 having survived relegation with virtually the last kick of their previous campaign.

Claasen still has two years to run on his contract with the team and will hope to end the injury problems that have plagued his stay so far.

There was again no Pule Maraisane in Swedish league action as he missed the 2-0 loss for GAIS at home to Assyriska in the second tier.
