Axed Kaizer Chiefs players picked for Bafana Bafana

Just hours after Kaizer Chiefs confirmed Itumeleng Khune‚ Mandla Masango and Tefu Mashamaite would be leaving the club‚ Bafana Bafana coach Shakes Mashaba named the trio in his squad to face Gambia and Angola this month.

Bafana will face Gambia in a 2017 Africa Cup of Nations on June 13 at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban and then take on Angola in an international friendly at Cape Town Stadium on June 16.

Mashaba named a 27-man squad at Safa House today and included overseas-based players Thulani Serero‚ May Mahlangu and Ayanda Patosi.

Jackson Mabokgwane‚ Marc van Heerden‚ Clayton Daniels and Gift Motupa are retained from the Cosafa Cup squad.
