Marques pleased after Swallows exit

Black Leopards coach Zeca Marques says it's not over yet after his side sent Moroka Swallows packing to National First Division on Sunday.

Leopards will now have to wait for Wednesday's clash between Jomo Cosmos and Swallows Promotion/Relegation Play-Off results.

"We knew Swallows would come here and want to defend. They didn't want to lose the game, that would have been their priority", said Marques.

"But I thought it was a game of two halves. We did exceptionally well in the first half, in the second half we lost some of our momentum.

After numerous attempts to break the deadlock, Leopards danger man and top goalscorer Ruggert Nyundu netted the winner for Lidoda Duvha with a thunderous strike - a goal that would have had any PSL coach wondering how much it would cost to have the 13-goal man on their books next season.

"I think the players were a bit nervous and swallows also realised that they had to take the game to us", Marques adds.

"That's what they did, but fortunately defensively we were well organised. After we contained them for that long, eventually they started losing hope and we just grew in confidence as the game went on."
