Pitso eyes Kaizer Chiefs trio

Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Pitso Mosimane admits that they will continue watching the market and secure quality players to beef up his squad ahead of 2015/16 season.

Nedbank Cup winners Sundowns are reportedly said to be head- hunting the signatures of Kaizer Chiefs trio George Lebese, Tefu Mashamaite and Itumeleng Khune.

“We will always look to strengthen the team every season. We have gone to teams like Free State Stars to get players in the past, Maritzburg United to get players, SuperSport United to get players to strengthen our team,” Mosimane quoted saying on Goal.com website.

The Brazilians are targeting Itumeleng Khune who will soon be out of contract if he fails to agree with new Chiefs deal.

“We will do the same again and go to the teams whose players we want, but then you (the media) must tells us who we need and who is available so that we can go and get them,” Mosimane said on Radio 2000.

Meanwhile KickOff.com reported on Wednesday that big-spending Sundowns have apparently eyed Mashamaite as the ideal replacement for departed club captain Alje Schut.

Chiefs have called a press conference for Tuesday to clarify their end of the season players movements.

About 10 key players are said to leaving AmaKhosi camp as free agents next month.
