National First Division leaders Lamontville Golden Arrows can win promotion to the Absa Premiership if they beat KwaZulu-Natal rivals Thanda Royal Zulu and Jomo Cosmos drop points against Royal Eagles tomorrow.

Arrows are six points clear of second-placed Cosmos, who were held to a surprising 1-1 draw by already relegated Maluti FET College at the Vaal University of Technology yesterday with three matches to play. Abafana Bes'thende went behind twice against Eagles at Chatsworth Stadium on Saturday before winning the clash 4-2.

The return of striker Mabhuti Khenyeza from suspension was key for Shaun Bartlett's league leaders in their victory over Eagles. The 32-year-old bagged a brace to take his tally of league goals to six, as Andile Fikizolo and Matome Mathiane also got on the score sheet. Arrows are on 53 points and on the brink of securing promotion.

They will fancy their chances of getting something out of tomorrow's game at Umhlatuze Sports Complex (3pm kickoff) against Thanda, who are not too strong at home.

Once title challengers this season, Thanda have lost four of their last five matches this month and go into the clash against Arrows having dropped down to fourth spot after a defeat to African Warriors at Goble Park on Saturday. Cosmos have it all to do against Eagles at King Zwelithini Stadium tomorrow (3pm) after their disappointing draw.

Tomorrow's fixtures, all starting at 3pm:

Thohoyandou: Black Leopards v Milano United, Parow: Vasco da Gama v Witbank Spurs, Athlone: Cape Town All Stars v African Warriors, Makhulong: Highlands Park v FC Cape Town.
