Khune fined for Twitter outburst

The Premier Soccer League's disciplinary committee has slapped Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune with a fine of R50 000 of which R25 000 was suspended for 12 months for his Twitter outburst about match officials.

"It's unfair how we are painted bad for our actions on de field bt we are provoked by thse referees, you can cal me names but I stand 4 what's right," he tweeted.

In the other, Khune posted: "It's about time action is taken against this referees [sic] .... they've been very poor since beginning of the season."

Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung was fined R20000 for "insulting a referee" followed by the head coach Stuart Baxter who got the same penalty for disregarding a "directive concerning the participation of suspended club officials in official football activities".

The club was fined R 50 000 and was ordered to pay the costs of the sitting of the DC.
