Promoter Jeff Ellis announced the full bill for his Hurricane box-and-dine, which will take place at Emperor's Palace, Kempton Park, on the East Rand, on April 13.

At the press conference, held at Hammer Gym in Boksburg, East Rand, yesterday, Ellis said the main attraction to the Chesa Nyama-sponsored event would be the fight between Warren "The Warrior" Joubert and Grant "Fireball" Fourie.

The two, who are trained by Colin Nathan and Manny Fernandes, will do battle for the vacant SA junior welterweight title. Also on the bill is the return of Flo Simba, who has not boxed for more than two years due to health problems.

The former IBO youth heavyweight champion will take on Marcel Mulumba over six rounds. Johnny Muller will take on Donald Kapamba at cruiserweight over eight rounds. Paul Kamanga and Stone van Aswegen will do battle in the welterweight division also over eight rounds, while Dee Jay Kriel will fight Cleber Mudinga in the junior flyweight over four rounds.

Reuben Rasodi matches bouts for Ellis and Golden Gloves' Rodney Berman.

"Rasodi has done it once more, putting together such an evenly matched bill. You know when Rodney and I plan putting up a tournament, it all starts with Reuben as a matchmaker," said Ellis, a former heavyweight fighter who himself was matched by Rasodi against Martin Barnard in 1977. "His [Rasodi's] knowledge of boxers comes in handy, I hope one day he will be honoured for all the hard work he has put in for so many years," Ellis said.

Said Rasodi: "It feels good that people appreciate what I do. It makes me happy and I will continue doing more."

Action will begin at 7.30pm.
