Mpumalanga Black Aces co-owner Mario Morfou has denied striker Tendai Ndoro is on the verge of leaving the club this week.

Reports have circulated in the media suggesting Orlando Pirates were leading a pack of clubs after the Zimbabwean's signature and that a deal for a move to the Buccaneers was imminent.

But Morfou insists there has been no contact from any club for his services, nor is he aware of any, "aside from what I have read in the press".

"Ndoro is a Black Aces player until 2017. We have no intention of letting him leave in this January transfer window, nor have we been approached by any club," he said.

Morfou did not deny that the player missed training on Monday though.

"He missed training on Monday because I had a meeting with him over some personal issues he had. It was not related to any move."

Aces would leave themselves light up front were they to let the player go now, having already shipped striker Mabhuti Khenyeza to National First Division side Lamontville Golden Arrows recently.

It would mean they only have Collins Mbesuma as a recognised out-and-out striker for the remainder of the campaign.
