What's more, Matsatsantsa will show no mercy to the hobbling AmaTuks as they look to advance new coach Gordon Igesund's principles of unrelenting attack at the Tuks Stadium come 3.30pm.

Igesund used the international break to hammer into his players' heads his football ideals and the time has come for those to be acted out on stage.

"I had to change the playing style of the team and make the players understand what their roles are," said Igesund.

"Yes we've done well and we've scored seven goals in the three games we've won but I can see there is much still to be done.

"We are still making some errors but fortunately we haven't been punished for them - a really good team might capitalise on them.

"Not for one minute do I think, though, that we are just going to go out and just win this game against Tuks. We will have to be at our best. It's a local derby and judging from their [Telkom Knockout] game against Mamelodi Sundowns, they create chances, defend well and work well as a unit."

Over a month ago, AmaTuks would have gone into this game with a good chance of taking all three points but with Igesund's arrival a merciless attacking wave has greeted teams.

"When I joined United I wanted the team to be a lot more offensive," the former Bafana coach said.

Tomorrow night, Maritzburg United host Platinum Stars at Harry Gwala Stadium looking to keep their place among the top eight.
