EMPERORS Palace's 2500-seat Centre Court might be too small to host the crowds when Ashley Dlamini and Malcolm Klassen collide in a tantalising shootout before the end of the year.

The pair fought in separate bouts at the same venue on Monday night and won.

Dlamini flummoxed Sydney Maluleka over eight rounds, while Klassen flattened Justin Savi from Benin in four. Excited promoter Rodney Berman confirmed that the showdown was on.

"We have two dates, November 11 and December 12, so this bout will definitely take place. Remember this clash was initiated by Dlamini and Malcolm's responded positively. I am sure that fans will come in big numbers to watch it. It is one of the showdowns that we want to give to the fans," said Berman, who paid tribute to trainer Colin Nathan for the wonderful job he has done with Dlamini.

Nathan has transformed Dlamini into a fearless warrior willing to call out Klassen, the vastly experienced former IBF and WBF champion. He had no difficulty with Maluleka, who spent the better part of their fight on Monday night showboating.

Dlamini won the fight via a unanimous points decision as judges scored it 59-55 (twice) and 60-54.

Later in the evening Klassen punished Savi so much that referee Simon Mokadi intervened in the fourth round. That was Klassen's first fight under new trainer Sean Smith.

Smith's other charge, Kevin Lerena, claimed the vacant WBC Silver Youth light heavyweight belt without breaking a sweat against Gogita Gorgiladze. Lerena went straight to work with his stabbing jab from the opening.

A well-executed straight left to the mouth dropped Gorgiladze as he if he had been shot, removing one of the foreign fighter's teeth.

Other results: Duran Ray and Onke Duku drew over four rounds; Luyanda Jako and Marcus Lebog drew over four rounds; and Page Tshesane beat Tebogo Malose on points in eight.
