NATIONAL under-17 coach Molefi Ntseki is now gunning for a place in the world Youth Championships scheduled for Chile next year after leading South Africa into the continental finals to be held in Niger next year.

Amajimbos drew 2-2 with Egypt on Saturday in Cairo, thanks to a brace by Khanyisa Mayo, to win 4-3 on aggregate and book a berth in the finals in Niger.

"Yes, this is a good achievement and great for my CV but I am now looking beyond Niger. I want to take these boys to Chile for the World Cup.

"The reality of qualifying for Niger has now sunk in and I am gunning for more success," said Ntseki following Saturday's heroic away draw.

The 45-year old mentor from Free State said he would now start working on consolidating the squad by identifying more talent for the challenges in West Africa.

"There is massive talent in South Africa and the boys have shown what we can achieve if we stick together and have a common purpose."

The imposing Ntseki said on a personal note he was grateful for his supportive wife and three sons.

Amajimbos are scheduled to arrive in Johannesburg this morning.
