ASHLEY "Stimela" Dlamini has called out Malcolm "The Stone" Klassen for the mother of all local showdowns, but only when he is done with Sydney Maluleka on Monday night.

Dlamini and Maluleka, the former South African junior lightweight champion, will meet over eight rounds at Emperors Palace, where Golden Gloves will stage a six-bout card that will be bankrolled by Chesa Nyama.

The bill, dubbed Palace Storm, will be headlined by the fight for the vacant WBC Silver Youth junior light heavyweight title fight between Kevin "KO Kid" Lerena and Georgian Gogita Gorgiladze.

Interestingly, Klassen, the former IBF and WBF champion, who is Lerena's stablemate at Sean Smith's gym, will welcome Justin Savi from Benin in a non-title 10-rounder.

The fight will be Klassen's first since May last year when he suffered a dubious points loss to Will Tomlinson in Australia.

"I am not undermining Sydney at all but I believe I will handle him, " said Dlamini:

Maluleka blows hot and cold.

He looked like a million bucks when he pummelled Sabelo Jubatha into submision in seven rounds for the national title at the Orient Theatre on September 30 last year.

But he was a shadow of his former self at the same venue three months later, when he lost the title to Aphiwa Mboyiya, who is a lesser recognised fighter.

That defeat was followed by another to Prince Ndlovu for the Limpopo provincial title on June 28.

That was Maluleka's fifth defeat in 18 fights.

Dlamini, on the other hand, blew Thanduxolo Gatyeni away in less than a minute last month.

That was his ninth stoppage in 15 wins against three losses and a draw.

Dlamini said his fight against Klassen will be the fight of the year because of their similar, aggressive style.

"Malcolm is a locomotive train just like me. We will not need a referee," said Dlamini, the former top amateur from Bushbuckridge, Mpumalanga, who is trained in Gauteng by Colin Nathan.
