VETERAN SuperSport United forward Sibusiso Zuma is fired up for a meeting with former club Orlando Pirates in the Telkom Knockout semifinals in Atteridgeville on Saturday.
The match kicks off at 3pm at the Lucas Moripe Stadium.
The 38-year-old Zuma, the oldest outfield player in the PSL this season, has just returned from a long-term injury problem.
"I'm good to go, I have now played a couple of games since returning from injury and I feel great," Zuma told Sowetan.
"The semifinal against Pirates is a big occasion, not just for me personally but a number of players in the club who have ties to Bucs.
"We want to win for SuperSport, but also for ourselves, and I definitely believe we can do that."
Zuma made his first start of the season in the 3-0 loss to Platinum Stars on November 3 and was then used as a substitute in the 3-1 win over Lamontville Golden Arrows six days later.
The former Bafana Bafana striker burst onto the scene at African Wanderers in the 1997-98 season, but it was really at the Buccaneers where he made his name - scoring an impressive 38 goals in 60 matches before being snapped up by top Danish side FC Copenhagen.
Other Matsatsantsa players who can point to past ties with Bucs include left-back Innocent Mdledle, wingers Bennett Chenene and Sameehg Doutie, and playmaker David Mathebula.
United were beaten 1-0 by Kaizer Chiefs in last season's Nedbank Cup final. Should they get past Pirates on Saturday, they could get a chance for revenge, with Chiefs and Platinum Stars contesting the second semifinal later in the evening.
