Pirates sign another top striker

ORLANDO Pirates have signed yet another striker - Thamsanqa Gabuza from Lamontville Golden Arrows.

Gabuza will be formally unveiled later this week. The striker, who was also sought by Bloemfontein Celtic, said: "I'm leaving Arrows and I want to thank them for everything they have done for me."

The 26-year-old has been offered a three-year deal by Pirates. The arrival of Gabuza will ease the pressure on Collins Mbesuma, Ndumiso Mabena and new recruit Lennox Bacela.

Bucs' failure to score goals, especially in domestic competitions, is cause for concern for the technical staff and supporters.

In the African Champions League though, the problem is not as severe as they hammered Egyptian giants Al-Ahly 3-0 earlier this month.
