Sibiya's killing, shockwave grows
SOUTH African soccer personalities have expressed shock following the killing of Percy Sibiya in a car hijacking incident in Midrand at the weekend.
Sibiya was shot on Saturday. He was 54.
He was one of only two South African players' agents accredited by Fifa. The other is Mike Makaab. Some of the players Sibiya managed included Sipho Nunens and Dumisa Ngobe.
Later on, he bought the franchise of National First Division club Spartak, which he later gave to his son, Kgobsi Tsunku.
Sibiya, a successful actor in various Sepedi television dramas, roped in former Bafana Bafana coach Trott Moloto.
"Percy never played soccer but was a big supporter of the game. He was a very good person and helped the needy," said Moloto.
Sibiya will be buried in Midrand on Friday.
