KERMIT Erasmus is headed for the exit door at SuperSport United, if not in the coming weeks then in the transfer window that closes in August.

There is serious interest in the Bafana Bafana striker from clubs in Norway and Sweden, whose transfer windows only close on March 31, giving them months still to make a move for the 22-year-old forward.

Swedish side Helsingborg have kept their interest in him, nearly signing him last August before the deal fell through. He could join compatriot May Mahlangu at the club.

Norwegian side Valerenga are also keen on signing the forward. They were once the home of former Bafana skipper Mbulelo Mabizela.

"The transfer windows close much later in these countries due to the fact that their seasons only begin in March ... but we expect that some business may be done," Erasmus's business manager Rob Moore said.

Erasmus was priced out of a move to then-Hungarian champions Videoton ahead of the 2011-12 season, with their bid of around R1,6-million being rejected.

The player is desperate to return to Europe after spending two seasons at Feyenoord in Holland, where he made just four substitute appearances.

Confirmation over the weekend that Matsatsantsa had completed their swap deal with Ajax Cape Town that sees Bradley Grobler join the club and Mabhuti Khenyeza head in the opposite direction could persuade the club to cash in on Erasmus now.
