Ex Bucs midfielder joins Thanda Royal

FORMER Orlando Pirates midfielder Talatou Boubacar Djimbo has resurfaced at National First Division title chasers Thanda Royal Zulu.

Djimbo has also been included in the Niger squad for the 29th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations finals.

Djimbo is expected to make his debut for second-placed Royal in a league game against Santos at the Richards Bay Sport Complex on February 13.

Niger are in Group B along with West African powehouse Ghana, Mali and DR Congo.

The Niger squad is:

Goalkeepers - Toldo Alzouma (Garde Nationale), Kassaly Daouda (Chippa United), Rabo Saminou (Sahel SC);

Defenders - Ismael Alassane (Mangasport), Mohamed Bachar (AS Douanes), Mohamed Chicoto (AS Marsa), Kourouma Fatokouma (Chabab Al Hociema), Lucky James (AS Douanes), Koffi Dan Kowa (ES Zarzis), Kader Amadou Dodo (Olympic), Issiaka Koudize (Garde Nationale), Mohamed Soumaila (Olympic)

Midfielders - Moutari Amadou (FC Mans), Issoufou Boubacar, Karim Lancina (both clubless), Abdoul Idrissa Laouali (Mangasport), William Ngounou (IF Limhamn Bunkeflo), Souleymane Sakou (Olympic), Talatou Boubacar (Thanda Royal Zulu);
