Patosi nets third goal in a week

AYANDA Patosi's rich vein of form continued on Saturday when he scored his fourth goal in five games as Lokeren defeated Charleroi 2-0 to continue their climb up the Belgian league table.

Patosi turned 20 last week and his career is now in liftoff after a terrific season for Lokeren that has brought him to the brink of a Bafana Bafana call-up. The goal against Charleroi was his third in a week forLokeren, who have now moved into fourth on the table.

Elsewhere, Darren Keet's Kortrijk moved up to fifth with a 4-1 win over Lierse, the goalkeeper having his clean sheet spoiled by a late consolation for the visitors.

Anele Ngcongca has led a nomadic existence for Genk this season and he was back in the centre of defence for the 2-1 win at Gent, having spent the past few weeks as a holding midfielder.

Steven Pienaar looked out of touch as Everton were held 2-2 by Fulham, the former Bafana skipper having a rare bad game in a blue shirt.

There was no sign of Andrew Surman as Norwich City beat Stoke City 1-0.

Kagisho Dikgacoi was again in good form as his English Championship side Crystal Palace beat Blackburn Rovers 2-0.

Dean Furman was again left out of the starting line-up for Oldham, coming on as a substitute in the second half of their 3-0 FA Cup first-round win over Kidderminster.

Siyanda Xulu remained sidelined for FC Rostov with an injury, while Ricardo Nunes's Slovakian side Zilina were held 0-0 by Senica.
