FORMER South African undefeated heavyweight champion Osborne "Big Daddy" Machimana has pleaded poverty and he is not ashamed of his financial predicament.
Its so sad to read this story about this favourite athlete of mine"Big Daddy".This is the first man that welcomed me in the sports of Boxing where we met in the Carltonville mines during a boxing tournament after noticing my undying love of this combat sport as a fan.I know that you are not the only one my brother with financial constraints as a pugilist. There are plenty of them that i can mentioned until I close my shop at 17h00.Also known as "Maximus",I wish you could reclaim your throne in Boxing my brother.I never tasted your punch but sitting far away from the boxing ring,i could always feel the power and strength of your punches my brother.S.A lacks promoters,Imagine what the situation would be if Gauteng had 10 more active promoters.I know of boxers that had only 1 fight in three years as professionals. What i like about them is that they are still soldiering on to the gym. Will S.A boxing eventually regain its rightfull spot of once being the best and most supported sport in Mzantsi?.Lets wait and see Report Abuse

He still can make some cash but he needs to get fit. Cos he's a fat boxer he cannot go the distance if he needed to. He must go cap in hand and apologize to Nick. Then when he makes some $$$ must be more wize Report Abuse
