A CONTROVERSIAL bid by Orlando Pirates to absolve themselves of responsibility for their rioting fans will be heard today and the outcome could have a fundamental impact on safety at football grounds.
This is bull, why are they given prefferential or is because the club belong to the PSL Chairman? Pirates must be treaded like any other team in the PSL, why suspent all their cases, it is not fair, we can see it ninenine that there is favouritism here, even a blind man can see. Pirates and Sundowns must play infront of empty stadium, like you did to Chiefs some years back. Chiefs once raised that concern that the rioting of fans was not direct to Chiefs, but PSL ignored that and fined them, why now with Pirates things are changed, it ia not fair preiod. Report Abuse

Good point my man. I have always held this view that if you punish the club, you are not solving the problem as the misbehaving supporters are not 'employees' of the club. Deal with hooligans and the problem will hopefully stop. Hooligans are taking full adv of this gap knowing that if they misbehave nothing will be done to them. So PSL must capacitate its security to deal with the such incidents at the stadium. Club can do their part by educating their supporters. Report Abuse

You are talking rubbish, why Sundowns case is handed to the Police while Pirates cases are suspended, dont come with your foolish tactics here, Pirates is not PSL, Khosa must just decide whether to be the club owner or the Chairpeson of the PSL, this is a conflick of interest, no Governance, right now the Director at Pirates in the PSL adviser, how do you do that, there is so much corruption in this Football of ours, some people are usin Sir Blatter bulling tactics, we need fairness, that is all. I remember when Chiefs voiced their concern about being charged for spectator behaviour @ the stadium. They were villified for it. Olifant Molefe came out with gun blazing. Critizing Chiefs for daring to try & test the same law that Pie-rats is challenging. At the time Olifant seemed to have the backing of his deputy & the rest of the board members. Mr Motaung was isolated.
Well, it's high time that the law be severely tested. I am against it (law) as well. If Pie-rats is successful it will absolve all teams charged. Sometimes you have to send the favourite (intandokazi) child to ask the parents (mummy/daddy) for a particular favour. If you don't send that favourite child the request is bound to be denied.
So let everyone support Pie-Rats so that my team KC can as well benefit. I raised this to show that Pie-Rats is not the first club to test the unfair law according to me. I want Pie-Rats to win the case. Report Abuse

"Until the appeal board (of Safa) decides on whether we have been giving a proper interpretation to this rule or not," all pending disciplinary matters will be suspended, said PSL legal head Ntsietso Mofokeng.
/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////This stayement does not say Pirates,Chiefs or Sundowns, and we all know this clubs has pending cases against them. I think if Pirates loose this case, Sundowns will be charges as well, but for now the PSL and the club has opened a case against the fans. Any one who does not understand this must go to PSL and ask them, otherwisw you guys are going to spend your precious time explaining. It is just the hate of the Champs that is running in people blood and the hatred is blinding their minds.
Its not something new when such incidents happen in our footballing fraternity, its a fact Khoza is dictating the PSL and its high tie reigns be given to somebody else. If you all know football answer me these questions 1. Why did Zola Majavu not last for the duration of his spell as a CEO, and why was Andile Ncobo sacked and lastly the recently appointed CEO why did he leave its all in your hearts to give your honest answers. Im a Kaizer Chiefs supporter but I think Pirates have a point here. It is an unfair rule. The perpetrators should get criminal charges against them. A football club can only do so much to influence the actions of individuals and if they continue in their uncivilized behavior then the blame must be put on the individuals rather than the football club. The club can release a thousand statements and educational programmes for its fans but if people aren't prepared to learn that can't be the club's fault. There's so many Cameras at stadiums these days, if anyone misbehaves they must be locked up, not banned from the fields but locked up. That will teach him/her and others for next time. Report Abuse
