CHEAP tickets, the lowest costing R50 for two matches, have been made available for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations finals in a bid to avoid an empty stadiums fiasco.
South Africa and it's people always look down on the rest of Africa, as if it's not geographically situated in the continent, just 3 months before the continent's biggest soccer event and not much is being said, either by the media or among the people, despite the fact that SA is the host of AFCON, a year before the 2010 world cup, all the major cities were clad with billboards, the media was on a frenzy, there was even soccer friday, you could feel the spirit everywhere you go. May God help us.
Clever man Mr Mbebe. You can teach PSL a thing or two.
Anyone who knows Marketing 101 will tell you that its better to have a stadium filled to capacity people having paid R2,00 than a half empty stadium people having paid R150.
Like Blatter said the advertisers/sponsors are only interested in full stadiums. Report Abuse

That is a bargain! If these stadiums are not full at these prices, my sentiment that SA is not a big football nation will be justified. Watch this space people... Report Abuse

This tells you the quality of African Football, if two games cost you R50, arrest my case, or is because South Africa is better than other African Countries economically? that is disrespectful. I am sorry, not interested in African Football, they play Kak. Report Abuse

When are they available; I missed out on the World Cup and '96 Afcon Final so I'll be buying my tickets long before the games even start. At R50 a pop tickets will vanish very quickly. Report Abuse

@Papage you sound like those English football fans who floocked to the stadium to see a tired Man.Utd team, or those silly people who got swept up in the Zakumi hype in 2010 (SMH) ,if you knew anything about African football you would know that second to South America its the biggest exporter of players to Europe & Asia, but like you said you,"ARREST MY CASE" so your excused.
This is a great day and I will be buying tickets to see Africa's best footballers in my backyard. Report Abuse

Invite Man United to play curtain raisers in one of the matches, to get the white and coloured supporters at the stadium. They are the first to cry faul, but will never set foot in a stadium. Report Abuse
