I think most of us are missing the point here. Bobby at the moment is an employee of Chiefs. As things still stands, he is the manager of the team. The media cannot say one of Motaung's sons arrested for fraud because it will be ambiguous.
We cannot divorce him from the team. Even Jabu Mahlangu, Mbuthu, Mooki, will be reffered to as former Chiefs players or Chiefs and Pirates player in the case of Mahlangu . It is a standard procedure to give background to the readers.
Let us not beat around the bush, his arrest has embarrased and compromised the brand, sponsors and stakeholders and unfortunately, those in charge at Naturena in terms of Communications are playing with fire.

I think most of us are missing the point here. Bobby at the moment is an employee of Chiefs. As things still stands, he is the manager of the team. The media cannot say one of Motaung's sons arrested for fraud because it will be ambiguous.We cannot divorce him from the team. Even Jabu Mahlangu, Mbuthu, Mooki, will be reffered to as former Chiefs players or Chiefs and Pirates player in the case of Mahlangu . It is a standard procedure to give background to the readers.
Let us not beat around the bush, his arrest has embarrased and compromised the brand, sponsors and stakeholders and unfortunately, those in charge at Naturena in terms of Communications are playing with fire.
They should have been proactive and release a statement about the confusion. Saying that Chiefs does not build stadiums is patronisation of the highest order, because we all know that.

It is a very seriuos matter when anyone is accussed of a crime,esp one as serious as this.The defendant in this or any other case case has the right...absolute right,i might add,to a fair trial and to the presumption of innocence.The public,on the other hand,also has a right...the right to the impartial administration of justice.We have the obligation to avoid even the appearance of partiality...Mr Motaung in this case holds a position of a great public(at Chiefs) trust and in that position has worked on daily basis with everybody in this country..
He is entitled to the presumption of innocence unless the state can prove their guilty by evidence beyond reasonable doubt..... We have to wait and see...!
