We have read enough of these stories already and now I believe the blame should be put squarely on these players as well. Tomorrow it might be Manqele or Sangweni. Why these players sign all these 4 year deals with options whereas they know that they are knocking on Europeans doors? Mxim

We all know that once you sign for Sundunudunu you're going nowhere besides small teams - Sundunudunu doesn't let players go overseas.

Xunu & Mushekwi must ask Mphela about that

"In the current transfer market, that is a generous figure for a player with no European experience" - PSG just paid 45mil Euros to secure Lucas Moura's signature and he has ziltch european experience. I do not know how you explain that Nick.

Before you attack me about how Lucas is not the same as Mushekwi, I am just using your principle with regards to no european experience.

Dont know what to say anymore about my team. Why cant they just let them go once and for all. That's why Xulu posted some nasty comments on facebook yesterday reading "why is it all about money, what about my dreams", he was fed up i understand. This is boring, let them go Mr President.

Now tell me, do you think these players will show commitment to the team after this??obviously they are demoralized, and as a result they will just play to see their contracts through. Sunflops is still going to be punished. with unhappy players.

U r killing our team and players big time, Papage is right why keep them in the club while we not winning any of the cups, with been singing this song for almost 7 years now hoping someday will win at their expense how can players perform to the level best when u shuttering their dreams to play oversees. My beloved team is run by foolish people indeed

Before a player sign a contract, he should demand that he play certain games (Starting line up) and he should come up with a sales figure should a need to go oversees arise. Some player's problem is the agents wants 10% of the sale which normaly comes out of the 50% that the player get & the team gets 50%. Player then left with 40%. For example for Xulu to go to Russia, Sundowns will get R2million, the Player R1.6 Million, and the Agent R400 000. In that scenario the player & the agent gets rewarded big time. But 2 million for Sundowns is a peanuts. Assuming that Sundowns wants Xulu to go for R8 million. the club will get R4 million & Xulu gets R3.2 million, The Agent gets R800 000. The Transfer business can be very complicated. We need to know what is in the contract before letting any overseas team gets a player for R4million. & loan him for 3 years to a 2nd division tean & gets R20million from that loan deal to buy a European/ South American Player. There is more in deals than what we are made to believe

If i were Sundoms i would let go of this palooka. The very same palooka cost Dunudunu the league last season by throwing the game they should have won or at least drew to Zebras so they should let him go to show him that he is in fact a liability to them and not an asset.

some people just make comments which are just based on hatred for the team.what is the perpose of having a contract with any association if you not going to abide to it. i mean it doesnt make sense for any organization to invest in their personnel only to just give them up without cashing in on them. i mean theses players are contracted to sundowns and any team that want them must pay for them. i mean both Xulu and Mushekwi are earning more than R150k a month, miltiply that by 12 and you'll see that my team is investing a lot from them to just give them away just like that. and Nick Said i think you are the one whos clueless about the so called mechanism of Europian transfers.

They are investing a lot from them but how much will they earn when they go overseas - no player wants to play at the PSL for the rest of their lives.

Sundunudunu doesn't think about their players's future - they only think about themselves and they win nothing still.

at the end of the day running a team is all about making profits as well. the problem here is not Sundowns, the Europian team they are simply taking our league(Psl) for granted. they only think they can get players from SA at a lower rate and go make money with them by loaning them to lower divisions in Europe. The President said he will not stand in any players way if a reasonable offer comes. Also the players must learn to equipt themselfs when it comes to sighning contracts. i mean how can you sign a 4 year contract and within a year an overseas team comes you expect the team to just let you go without cashing in. that's being St*pid.

this is crazy, its time for the european teams to stop undermining africa, you can't expect to buy a good player like Xulu with this amount, samething happened last year when atletico madrid said they want him to sign without going through trials, but with the same amount. Xulu must remmember that he is still a property of sundowns and motsepe is running a business here not a charity, he cant buy useless players with more than 5 M, sell a player like Xulu for 4 M. It doesn't make sense.

I think on the " player frustration" part, I agree 100% with kaboyellowman. players go overseas just to warm up the bench or to be loaned out. Look at what Tettenham is doing with Khumalo, and what they did with Phuzaface Mabizela. you are spot on there my Dunusa friend. but on the same length, we need to encourage our players to realize their dreams of plying overseas. it is not every player who will make it there, the likes of Gaxa will come back home without much success, but the likes of Pienaar will make themselves indispensable.

@ nzwere.
i agree wtih you my brother. on a players side it is frustrating to be denied opportunity to play abroad. it's high time our players learn not to sign longlerm contracts if they aspire to go elswhere and on the other side it is also disadvatages to sign a shorterm contract cause you might yourself out of contract and with no team. it's a dog eat dog situation my brother. the other thing that people tend to overlook about this tranfers issues, is the BROKER ISSUES this agents are reaping the players off.

Sundowns' problem is that it tends to pay more than what the players are worth. When it is the time to sell it can not sell at a profit, let alone recouping what it initially paid for the players. So most of the players are loaned or in limbo until they become free agents or contracts terminated because they are no longer in the coach's plans. So it does not benefit Sundowns in the long run to buy for the sake of buying.

To. @mathopeed, @BRA-MAFUTHA, @Papage and other Downs supporters on the block, please don’t be misled by malicious reports by the likes of Nick Said (reporter). There are many journalist that are hell bent of reporting falsely about Downs and Nick is definitely one of them.
His story lack facts and his unnamed sources means there are no sources in the first place. Sundowns has a right to make profit as well.
It has become popular to criticise Sundowns irrationally. Remember how the media would twist our loan deals without realising that our loan deals are the most generous in the PSL?

Spot on again my broer, just to reiterate on ur last poin, I think the agents play a bigger role in encouraging players to sign for what they(agent) will have more to gain than the palyers themselves. if players can be empowered on contractual obligations, it will be easier for them to align themselves with terms and conditions that will better suit their needs compares' to clubs or/and Agents'. so my broer, players just blindly sign on the dotted line because they want to see themselves playing for big teams, without even realizing that their signatures are hampering their successes.

Its about time these players know that you join sundowns at your own peril. The reason why sundowns offers players so much money is because they know no sober player will join them willingly. They have to confuse them with money in order to catch them. Once they fall into the trap its the end of their dreams.
