Hayi no, "choc ice" sounds like our term coconut. It is descriptive of behaviour and not one's race nor does it seek to insult an entire race by using those words.
This is getting ridiculous. I have been called a cheese boy on many occasions and "umlingu omnyama" even by family members which is along the same lines but why would anyone think that is racist? People like her communicate exclusively in English, hang-on to principles of "non-racialism" because they think they won't have the term "black" associated with them and at some mental level they secretly hate being black. @ DZEL I suspect Ms Mazibuko refuses to be defined by the colour of her skin. That does not make a person a " white wannabe" that is simply espousing nonracialism. That is as far as I am concerned the most powerful manne in which any person can show his/her self confidence. A white person who defines himself by his /her whiteness does not have the confidence to stand as a human being among other human beings, and the same goes for a black person who defines him/herself by skin colour.
