Patosi scores again for Lokeren
AYANDA Patosi's excellent pre-season form continued this week when he scored again for Belgian side Lokeren in their 2-2 friendly draw against French Ligue 2 side Lens.
The 19-year-old created the first goal for Djiby Fall with a sublime cross that was headed home, before netting the second with a header of his own.
Lokeren coach Peter Maes has already said that this will be a big season for the attacking midfielder, who is one of the rising stars of SA football, and it has been a case of so far, so good for him.
Anele Ngcongca has managed to put his recent troubles at his Belgian side Genk behind him as he played his first 45 minutes of pre-season in a 3-1 victory over Saudi Arabian champions Al Shabab.
Thulani Serero played another 30 minutes for Ajax Amsterdam as they beat minnows BV Veendam, the third game in a row in which he has featured in pre-season. Kamohelo Mokotjo missed Feyenoord's 5-1 friendly win over FC Horst and will be hoping his injury is not too serious with the new Dutch Eredivisie season a month away.
Earlier in the week, Bongani Khumalo got his first run-out in a PAOK shirt days after joining the club on loan from Tottenham Hotspur. The Greeks lost 1-0 to Romania's FC Otelul Galati.
