Moodaly in demand
A QUEUE of overseas universities is forming to sign Banyana Banyana midfielder Robyn Moodaly.
The teenage sensation, who is a Grade 12 pupil in Tshwane, is in the national team participating at the London Olympics later this month.
"Right now, my focus is on doing my best for Banyana Banyana at the London Olympics, but I am hoping to study sports science next year," Moodaly said.
"We have received interest from a university in the US as well as a university in Canada. Both are keen for me to study there and play for them.
"It is now a case of deciding on the best option as far as my studies and football career are concerned."
If Moodaly ends up in the US, she will follow in the footsteps of national teammates Roxanne Barker, the goalkeeper studying at Pepperdine University in California, and midfielder Kylie-Ann Louw, who is at Stephen Austin University in Texas.
Moodaly was a key member of Banyana's Olympic qualifying campaign.
