Morris caught between 2 clubs
NASIEF Morris will likely find out this week where his future lies as SuperSport United and Santos try to work out a deal for him.
The former Bafana Bafana international still has a year to run on his contract with Matsatsantsa, but is keen to remain at Santos now that his six-month loan deal with the club has come to an end.
Morris wants to help the team regain their top-flight status and Santos are desperate to hold on to him as well.
The two clubs are in talks over a permanent transfer, with a decision expected as early as tomorrow.
Though Morris's loan with Santos ended in disappointment with relegation, he has settled back into life in Cape Town and wants to remain close to his family.
Santos is the club where it all began for him, making his debut for the side in the 1997-98 season and going on to make 70 starts. He left in 2001 for Aris in Greece, before winning a move to top side Panathinaikos, where he became a cult hero.
After spells in Spain and Cyprus he returned to South Africa and SuperSport for the 2011-12 campaign, but soon found himself out of favour at Matsatsantsa.

Morris gave away a simple goal against Chippa United. That got Santos relegated to the 2nd Division like his former co-defender Mbazo did with Portsmouth as its captain at the time. Now he wants to even take them to Vodacom nleague. You are a disgrace go and try your tricks somewhere else or demand a settlement for your outstanding contract like Mbazo and go retire.Report Abuse
