Enough about this guy now. He won, yes and we are happy, but now we must move on and talk about serious issues that are affecting South African people.

I personally saw the guy in that slahla yesterday, he waved looking straight at me, I waved back, I was so proud of him. If it were Zuma I'm 100% sure I would have felt nothing, I would'nt have waved back.

As a token of our appreciation, we have decided to give you something to cover up for the money lost in the past three months.

tpaz

is he keeping the BMW?

R200k prize money vs. 3 months lose of income(3xpeanuts). Worthwhile decision.

If only Athletics paid like soccer, i would say quite your job.

So keep running and keep working. Congratulations.

I want to run the comrades when i am 40. So 5 years training from now is enough

I was amazed three years ago when Ludwig came second in Comrades. He was the first South African home, a great achievement. I thought he ran with our compression socks and wanted to sponsor him. To my amazement, there was no article by any newspaper or online media on Ludwick. Nobody interviewed him, nobody asked him who he is, where he came from so that fellow South Africans could know something about him! I could not find him because no-one new anything about him! Eventually I found him working at ABSA, only to find that ABSA did absolutely nothing to recognize his achievement. He was left out in the cold.

Now he wins Comrades, one position better and he is front page news. I want to thank Sowetan for giving him prominence at last, but surely we should have supported him better when he came second in the worlds greatest ultra marathon two years ago. Even then it was a majestic performance. Come on South African Media. You can do better!

Well done, monna wa ga Mamabolo. Re ya go lebogiša, wa gešu. I sense some impatients from certain quarters, but all patriotic South Africans, in particular those of us whose roots are from the north, hail you and are very proud.

You defended our honour, by denying another win by a foreign athlete. Keep it up, warra.
