SeshegoGuy lets pray for an injury free 2013 so we can make it for uphill next year. Ludwick was awesome! Finally Muzhingi realised that it was an open race!

Cowgirl Elena is consistent on the road. Her pace doesn't change. Did you see how she frustrated Eleanor Greenwood? I think Eleanor is a sprinter therefore she changes her pace based on the competitor and long distance doesn't want that. She should have saved her energy for the last kms. SA needs consistent runners like her to challenge her.

You are right about Elena's consistency, it is amazing to watch how she can be on top of her game through out and not be fazed by competitors...she just does her thing with calmness. Eleanor had some difficulty but she put in a good fight too.

It was also amazing to watch Bongmusa, if that boy carries on the way he did this year, he too will be a Comrades King...time is still on his side and he wasn't that far behind Mamabolo, less than a minute to be exact...good to see SA guys coming to the challenge..

Comrades is not for laatitjies. Ngomane surprised me when he won it at that young age. If I am not mistaken, most of the time it is won by people between the age of 32 and 40. Stephen Muzhingi and Leonid Shvetsov, Vladimir Kotov are examples of grown up guys who won it. I think Kotov won it when he was 42, 44 and 46 years.

@DeOvi
Google SA Active and you will see all the races and you can also register online. Start with 10km. there will be plenty of them now for runners to recover from madness training of Om Die Dam (50km), Two Oceans (56km) and Comrades (89km). If you keep active, you can make it.

LoL..702 is a walk. If u run u get dis-qualified. I've never enjoyed it, 50 000 people in one race is just too much but its for Charity. Seshego to lebcow is around 50km and i've done 50km races before (Om-die-dam and City-to-City Marathon). I will probably do the 702 Walk but im focusing on other coming Races
