Ngcongca hails Keet's showing
SOUTH Africa's Under-23 goalkeeper Darren Keet was back between the posts for Kortrijk as they won 3-2 at Gent in Belgium at the weekend.
Kortrijk's season is over after they fell out of the running for European club qualification places, but the result was important for Keet's compatriot Anele Ngcongca, whose Genk side still harbour hopes of finishing in the European Champions League places.
One of their main rivals is Gent, with Ngcongca taking to Twitter to congratulate Keet on his performance: "Well done Darren Keet, you had a superb game man. Your team did us a favour by beating Gent."
Siboniso Gaxa was the only South African to feature for Lierse as they lost 2-1 at home to OH Leuven to end their hopes of European football next season.
Daylon Claasen was missing with a knee injury that will have Bafana Bafana coach Pitso Mosimane sweating ahead of the 2014 World Cup qualifiers, while Lance Davids was not in the squad.
There was once again no Tsepo Masilela for Getafe as they drew 0-0 at Athletic Bilbao in Spain's La Liga.
Finally, May Mahlangu helped his Helsingborg side to a 1-0 win at Sundsvall in the Swedish Allsvenskan.
