BLOEMFONTEIN Celtic beat Ajax Cape Town 4-2 in a thrilling Absa Premiership match at the Free State Stadium last night.
Celtic's goals came through Mulomowandau Mathoho, Lennox Bacela, Clifford Mulenga and Phenyo Mongala.
Ajax's first strike was an own goal from Mathoho, while captain Brent Carelse netted the Urban Warriors' second goal.
The match was played in front of a poor crowd by Celtic standards.
The result bolstered Phunya Sele Sele's chances to finish in the top-eight bracket.
Referee Kulasande Qongqo awarded Bloemfontein Celtic the penalty after Ajax Cape Town's Cecil Lolo was adjudged to have fouled Letladi Madubanya inside the box and Bacela converted from the spot-kick.
