I put my everything on the block, if Messi's current scoring rate is anything to go by, with future career injuries taken into account, by the time he reaches the generally retirement age of 34/35, he would be the highest scorer in the history of soccer from a midfield player ( not writting off CR7)

He had some deficiency with growth hormones of some sort, and Barca took liberty to pay for his medical biils and treatment to help him grow. and that turned out to be a good investment considering the number of trophies he delivered for them

To tell you the truth.. Messi is phenominal, but for me he's not the GREATEST. The reasons being :-

*He hasn't done wonders for his Country(ARGENTINA)
*He's got fellow team-mates that create opprtunities for him to score(Iniesta/Xavi/Pedro..etc)
*He must at least be scruitinized/judged by representing another club/or his country and see if he's able to do what he does @ Barca
