Man stabbed in row over Pirates-Chiefs

The 33-year-old man handed himself over to police after stabbing a man to death

A man is expected to appear in the Umlazi Magistrate’s Court today (Tuesday) after allegedly stabbing another man to death during an argument over a soccer match, KwaZulu-Natal police said.

The 33-year-old man handed himself over to police after stabbing 37-year-old Winky Bongani Nyawo with a knife in Umlazi’s H-section on Saturday, spokesman Captain Thulani Zwane said on Monday.

The two allegedly got into an argument over a soccer match in which Kaizer Chiefs lost to Orlando Pirates by 3-2.
