THE Nedbank Cup match between AmaZulu and Ajax Cape Town will be replayed at Princess Magogo Stadium in Durban tomorrow at 7.30pm.

This was after the original match was abandoned by referee Ronnie Sithole after the stadium was waterlogged yesterday following heavy rain in Durban.

At that time the score was 2-1 in favour of Ajax. Paul Rusike and Thembinkosi "Terror" Fanteni scored the two goals for the Urban Warriors and Tangeni Shipahu replied for Usuthu.

Premier Soccer League representative Ronnie Schloss said it was agreed after consultation with the two clubs that the replay will take place tomorrow.

"The pitch is totally water- logged, it is like a swimming pool in some areas. The midweek league matches affecting Ajax and AmaZulu have also been postponed."

Ajax were to play Kaizer Chiefs at Peter Mokaba Stadium in the league on Wednesday night, while AmaZulu had a home date with Jomo Cosmos on the same night.

In Bloemfontein, Vodacom League side side Roses United pulled off a major upset when they eliminated First Division outfit Bay United, winning the game 2-0 at Bosthabelo Stadium.

Roses' goals came late in the second stanza of this match, via Muzikayisel Ngidi in the 85th minute and the experienced Aaron "Skaapie" Lepele in the 90th minute. Roving Ngidi beat Bay's keeper Sheldon Baatjie with a powerful grass-cutter after receiving a through pass from Mpho Tladi.

Former Bloemfontein Celtic midfielder Lepele dimmed United coach David Bright's hopes of coming back when he beat the keeper with a brilliant shot, capitalising on a suicidal back pass.

Roses, who are guided by former Bafana Bafana goalkeeper John Tlale, have joined fellow Free Staters Free State Stars in the last-16 stage. They are the only Safa Second Division team to advance to the last-16 stage of the Cup.
