Mayweather calls out Pacquiao on Twitter

Floyd Mayweather Jr. has taken his quest for a fight with Manny Pacquiao to Twitter.

The unbeaten Mayweather called out the Filipino superstar on Tuesday, daring Pacquiao to meet him May 5 in Las Vegas.

Mayweather and Pacquiao are boxing’s top two stars, and they have circled each other warily for more than two years. Both have said they’re eager to fight, yet neither has agreed to a deal for what’s likely to be the most lucrative bout in boxing history.

Mayweather has stepped up his campaign since Pacquiao’s narrow win over Juan Manuel Marquez last November.

Mayweather is available for a fight in May at the MGM Grand Garden after a Las Vegas judge agreed last week to postpone his jail sentence in a domestic violence case until June.

If anyone thinks Mayweather only saw the style that beats Pacquiao recently needs to do his research. Marquez fought Pacman twice already before the 3rd fight. Aggressive styles against Floyd come up short due to his defensive ability and counter punching (which is what brought success to Marquez). Floyd does not only defend, he does what he likes in the ring, you can ask Shane Mosley, Diego Corrales, Arturo Gatti, Ricky Hatton he fights you in your terms when he chooses. I can’t imagine Pacman handling Floyd when he decides to press the action himself leading with his jab (something that Manny can’t defend well); and fighting backwards is not his strong attribute. Floyd will destroy Manny like he did to Corrales and Gatti in no time. Floyd’s easy win with a TKO.

This is a fight of a lifetime but " Money " as much as I favor him will b making a mistake if he compares Pacman's recent performance against Marquez with his perfomance against de latter when he detroned him at the MGM Grand.

$$$$$$Remember all fighters have different styles and must not be measured tru their defeats $$$$$$$
Anyway good luck " Money ".

I agree with you, not all fighters have the same style. In boxing, styles make the fights. If you have read Roach’s comment after the Marquez fight, he agreed that Mayweather would be a tough assignment due to his “counter punching” which is a problem for him to teach his boxers. Watch Khan as well and see how he fails to deal with counter punchers. Floyd is the MASTER counter puncher with accuracy. Do the math then if Pacquiao struggles with a slower Marquez what will happen when he faces a faster Mayweather with an ability to evade his punches!

Floyd Mayweather Jr. to knock Manny Pacquiao out in the first 5 rounds watch this space !!

Boxing full 12-rounds Mayweather will outclass Pacquiao thats an obvious plan-B if knock out does not come but plan-A to leave him out&cold on the floor !!
