BAFANA Bafana star player and 2010 Fifa World Cup opening goal-scorer Siphiwe "Shabba" Tshabalala has become an entrepreneur

He has invested in four The Fish & Chip Co outlets in Pretoria and Johannesburg.

A year after scoring a memorable goal on June 11 in the opening game of the soccer spectacle, Tshabalala is reaping the rewards.

To celebrate his success he has aligned himself with the franchise group in a promotion that will see all South Africans getting fish and chips worth R25 for R10.

The promotion, which is themed "Relive The Moment", aims to ensure that all South Africans relive the time when the country was in unison.

Sowetan started the campaign on Wednesday, where all South Africans have the opportunity to cut out the coupon that can be redeemed on June 11 at all The Fish & Chip Co outlets country-wide.

Tshabalala said: "I am grateful to have partners like Stelio Nchaniel at The Fish & Chip Co and a management team that saw it fit to ensure that the memory lives on. Sowetan has always celebrated sporting heroes, and their support has been amazing."

Tshabalala hopes his decision to buy into The Fish & Chip Co franchise will inspire the youth of this country who will not only see him as just a soccer player but someone who wants to create employment. His first store will be opened in the next few weeks.

@DIBABAS

You must go to Orlando Stadium at times when you are not busy on a weekend and PIRATES is playing, you won't regret it. I also do go and watch SUNDOWNS or SUPERSPORT UNITED at PHELI when my team is not playing and it makes me appreciate soccer as a game. I would go and watch CHIMPS, it's just that they play ugly football and I do not appreciate how the coaches have been treating the players, from Mushin to this new guys, sometimes I feel that they hire racist coaches.

It's about time. Make sure you have good business advice though. Ncita started well in business and was doing well for a while and suddenly he was broke. Make sure you only make good investments and don't spend money like water, it does not come out of the tap in your backyard. Good luck fana both in your play and in business!

If there is one person that i would not like to have as a friend, its you Marapa. You seem to be very negative in life and cannot even say job well done when it is due. Whether he is venturing into a business of Fish and Ships, at least he is doing what others could not do.

Remember: Mandla"Metrobliz" Sithole from Pirates is in jail for 10 years for killing for R100. Mhlongo of Pirates was caught with an illegal fire-arm and last but not least, Phil " Mr. Jones" from Pirates was involved in match-fixing this week and was bail out for R10 000.

I which they could have thought of venturing into a fish and chips business, may be it could have been better.

I salute you ShabbaKhosi!!!!!!!
