Chiefs use Peter Mokaba

KAIZER Chiefs have announced that they will play three more matches at Peter Mokaba Stadium before the end of the season.

Amakhosi, who have already hosted Santos in the semifinal of the Telkom Knockout and Bidvest Wits in the Absa Premiership at the attractive 2010 Fifa World Cup venue, will host Free State Stars on March 5, Mpumalanga Black Aces on April 16 and Ajax Cape Town on May 7.

It will be the second trip for Stars to the Limpopo capital on March 5 as they will also be in the city for their date with Mamelodi Sundowns on February 19.

Stars are the hosts of the showdown with the Tshwane side.

Peter Mokaba Stadium will be busy this season after three-time Premiership champions SuperSport United registered it as their alternative venue.

Matsatsantsa hosted Matlama FC of Lesotho in a Champions League match.

United spokesperson David "Mazolman" Skosana is on record saying they will bring more Champions League matches to Polokwane if they progress further in the lucrative continental spectacle.

The people of Limpopo proved their passion for the beautiful game by coming in throngs for the matches. Chiefs' general manager Bobby Motaung was full of praise for the electrifying atmosphere at the stadium.
