FC CAPE Town have been fined R500,000 by the Premier Soccer League after the National First Division side were found guilty of fielding an improperly registered player.
Club owner Errol Dicks was, however, not found guilty, according to PSL prosecutor Zola Majavu.
Of the R500,000 fine, R100,000 is suspended for two seasons on condition that the club is not found guilty of a similar offence during the period of suspension.
The R400,000 is payable within 30 days from the day of the decision, which was Friday, September 3.
The player who earned FC Cape Town the fine was goalkeeper Noel Yobou.
The club also has to pay the costs of all sittings of the hearing.

PSL's DC is flipin stupid. How can they fine such a small team like that? This guys has just came in to Premier League this season. Big teams have been found guilty of the similar cases, but they were fined less than what they fines FC Cape Towm. On top of that those fines were suspended and only fraction of it paid. To hell with PSL's DC. Go to hell and enjoy yourself.Report Abuse
