What did Mosimane achieve during his tenure as Bafana's first assistant coach? During his spell he has assisted coaches Ted Dumitru, Joel Santana and Carlos Alberto Parreira.
Honestly speaking, it is lunacy to appoint an assistant coach who has failed.
It is evident that Mosimane failed as a member of Bafana's technical team. He was our assistant coach under the tutelage of chief tactician Dumitru when Bafana failed to score a single goal in the 2006 Afcon.
He was part of the technical team that failed to qualify for the 2010 Afcon under Parreira before his ambush resignation.
In came Santana, who was recommended by his compatriot. Santana and his technical team, including Mosimane, led Bafana to an early exit in the recent Fifa Confederations Cup right here on home soil.
Once again Mosimane went on to become the most useless assistant coach in the world by guiding Bafana Bafana to an early exit from the World Cup.
Safa must justify Mosimane's appointment. If their justification is that he has been there and that he knows everything, that means he contributed to Bafana's failure.
What did he learn from those mediocre and failing coaches? I am convinced Mosimane will fail with distinction because he has learnt from the best failures.
