IT LOOKS as if tickets for the Tri-Nations match between South Africa and New Zealand at Soccer City on August 21 are selling faster than hot cakes on a winter morning.

IT LOOKS as if tickets for the Tri-Nations match between South Africa and New Zealand at Soccer City on August 21 are selling faster than hot cakes on a winter morning.

The first allocation of 44000 sold out within the first 48 hours of going on sale at Computicket.

A second phase of ticket sales will begin when tickets are returned by various stakeholders at Ellis Park. But if you live in Soweto, pencil in July 26 as that is the day 5000 tickets will go on sale at Computicket outlets in the township for just R100 each.

"We want to create a family experience," stadium manager Jacques Grobbelaar told Sowetan yesterday. "Parking areas will be turned into braai areas so that people can come early and enjoy themselves. There will be soundstages, jumping castles for the kids and an Elvis Presley impersonation competition."

The match looks set to be a sellout, so don't leave it too late. Grab a ticket!
