MINISTER in the Presidency in charge of Performance, Monitoring and Evaluation Collins Chabane and Limpopo Premier Cassel Mathale will take a break from their hectic programme to tee off in a yearly golf tournament.

They will compete in the fifth instalment of the popular LimDev Winter Breeze Golf Classic at Polokwane Golf Club on Saturday.

Tee-off is at 7am.

Top officials who are expected to display skills on the fairways and the greens include Limpopo's trade and investment acting chief executive Julius Maphatha and director of economic development, environment of tourism Charles Maluleke.

The sponsors' managing director, Stan Mathabatha, will also compete. A total of 140 golfers are expected to take part.

Event coordinator Thomas Southon said the tournament will be played on a better-ball Stableford format.

"What makes this tournament more exciting is the willingness on the part of golfers to contribute towards charity organisations. Through these tournaments LimDev is able to plough back into the community," said Mathabatha.
